Stay To See
21 March, 2006
Author: Shan
I've built me up inside a cage
with open emotion and empty rage
to save me from the tears and pain
of the way I let you make me break
With my will embraced with faith
I face mistakes of ways I've choose
to hold myself away
I know I'm cold, but won't you stay
and hold me through another day
as I unfold to show you
what I'm to afraid to say
I'm sorting through distorted grounds
and in the truth of what is found
I need you around
I can say I'll never push you out
Somehow I know I'll let you down
My silence is our only sound
I know I'm nothing to you now
that you have found someone to be
I'm on my knees, I'm breaking down
I'm begging now, I'll kick and scream
Please don't just leave, I need you
like times you've needed me
I look at all the things we've been through
and my heart's inside this plea
I'm pulling me apart for you
and I pray you stay to see
