Grandma's Love
25 March, 2006
Author: Catyrose
Short of stature
Portly in form
Snow white hair
Eyes of blue
She offered a love so warm and true
Homemade Potato bread baking in the kitchen
With the children she did share
Grandma’s tasty, simple fare
Stories read, curled up in a soft and cozy lap
Tiny eyes they closed
Just in time for our daily nap
Off we’d go to the candy store
Listening to her tales of yore
Being with Grandma was never a chore
Grandma’s love it did surround all the children in her care
Kind and gentle
And always fair
She lavished us with so much attention
Never afraid to display affection
Listening to us prattle on
From dawn to dusk
Through her love we learned to trust
