Look into your soul.

Holding them close within your arms,
Lost in the rapture of a pleasant time,
Lying with another's someone close,
Stolen kisses upon your lips,
Kisses that taste bitter sweet,
Bodies together in total sin,
Bodies never meant to be entwined.

Look into your soul.

Vows they made, you help to break
Tainted souls and blemished hearts
Long ago you two here and now,
Were promised to another not him or her,
Can this love you share be true to you?

Look into your soul,

Trust was placed in you and them,
Trust was given to you both to hold,
Turning to you that special friend,
Hours of trust you both have shared,
Who turned so scheming with a gift of theirs?
Unsuspecting or so it would appear
Of such sordid and hidden deeds
Face to face you pretend with ease,
To be this persons true friend… indeed.

Look into your soul,

A dagger plunged into their eternal hearts
Each time you meet
Through your eyes they see only their love,
Through your acceptance a cheater they become,
With your face that splits in two,
Your face can never believe in you,
With the truth if you dare can speak,
You are being used can't you see?
With your body it's not the love you adore
With the truth once more,
Would you be their friend so true?
If they only knew.

I began this poem and Clive's special touch brought this one to life. Thanks my friend. This one is for a class project involving the study of intimate relationships.

This is Totally...totally DEEP...
Caty & Clive, this is totally True to the core...Sad when a Lonely Heart desires more, someone ALWAYS gets HURT at another's expense no matter the reason . these are true thoughts...i still do not understand WHY some would even claim ,or so much as play with what is not theirs...another form of human abuse...
you both hit a BULLSEYE on this, Caty if this is for a Love, Courtship, Marriage & Divorce Class , i cain already see your project paper, i see..you got a top "A"
