Safe Haven
29 March, 2006
Author: Catyrose
A tempest rises in their souls
Tossing them a’bout the tumultuous sea
A beacon of light they shall be to each other
Offering a safe haven from the perils of this life
Their smiles as bright as moon beams
Light up the darkest sky
Guiding their steps along a shore that few have tread upon
Bound together in ways that not many will understand
Fierce loyalty and a special love
Connect their genteel hearts
A shelter they created long ago
Where only they reside
Protecting each other from torrential rains
And the pain they feel inside
In times of need their voices can be heard
Above the wale of the northeastern wind
Transcendent spirits sharing their hearts
Always connected, never to part
