Citivas Anima
5 April, 2006
Author: Miztrebor
The lights go out,
And it starts to rain.
Didn’t think it could
Wash away the pain.
The clouds roll by,
And it’s gettin’ dark.
It’s cold out now
Sitting in this park.
No one’s around
To hear me cry today.
No one is here,
To here these words I say.
But a new day’s comin’,
Take it all in,
Finding my place,
Where do I fit in?
The grocery store,
Just a block away.
Too dark now,
To find my way.
Wait for the sun come up,
Off of the horizon.
Above the city streets,
It’ll keep on rising.
Warm the soul,
Of a man broken down.
Traveling aimlessly
Through this lonely town.
Insomnia driven visions,
People rushing past.
Lost in a jungle,
In a mind so vast.

Helena (74.70.0.72) -- Wednesday, January 3 2007, 12:13 am at first i read it, and like i had told you, i wasn't a huge fan. i re read it and i realized why. the imagery is beautiful, i guess i just wish he found himself. it flows very nice, and evokes a lot of sadness that i was at first uncomfortable with, but very well written. |
