The Fairy Ring
8 April, 2006
Author: Catyrose
Spy the fairy ring
Etched in the emerald grass
Tip toe on around
Ever so careful as you pass
Hush now!
Be careful as you tread
For a fairy lies nearby
Resting his weary head
Last night the wee ones frolicked here
The pixies, fairies and sprites
Moonbeams all
Lighting up the sky, ever so bright
As twilight did appear
The fairie folk and unicorns
Celestial creatures gathered near
To sing, to laugh and even prance
Till sleep enthralled them
In her peaceful trance
Lie down upon the grassy knoll
Fairy dust sprinkled upon the ground
Close your eyes and drift away
To the land where the fairies dwell
Hush now!
In the morning you dare not tell
Lest you break the fairies spell!
