Wishing
9 April, 2006
Author: Clive B Ringshall
Happy go lucky she followed the path,
Skipping and singing to oh but a tune,
Trees swaying and bowing as she passed,
Bushes lined to guide her way,
Droplets of light shone through the trees so tall,
Polished dew inviting on the ground,
Grass it seems to grow green all around,
Butterflies flew in her special light,
Ladybirds followed in delight,
Fawns danced with rabbits to the girl’s funky beat,
Soon a menagerie of all guided her path
Dancing in harmony were birds in flight,
Doves coo away as she whistled their tune,
With eyes so bright the unicorn came,
She found her wish not upon a star,
She found her wish on a path in daylight,
She held her dream kissing him right,
She opens her eyes with wish in hand,
She smiled and smiled as she said to him goodnight.
