Secrets Of The Sea
11 April, 2006
Author: Catyrose
The sea has a secret she holds in store
For those who sail upon her shores
Beneath the bright blue sea
Lie mystical creatures in search of thee
In the caverns dark and deep
Sea nymphs and sirens are swimming free
Guarding treasures galore
Stored upon the ocean floor
These beguiling daughters of the sea
Rise up from five fathoms deep
White foam is flying in the air
Bright blue eyes and golden hair
Adorn these creatures, ever so fair
They frolic in the coves nearby
As the full moon rises in the sky
The mermaids begin to sing
Enticing lullabies
Echo upon the wind
“Come to me, Come to me”
Down to the ocean floor
Come my love, we shall explore
Seductive goddess of the sea
Eyes of blue, so dark and deep
Beckoning with arms open wide
“Come swim in the full moon’s tide”
Young sailor do beware
Lest she catch you unaware
Look away young sailor please
From this temptress of the sea
Her eyes they shall entrance
Holding you captive in the siren’s dance
Beware of these eyes that mesmerize
They are but the mermaid’s wanton disguise
Behind those bright blue eyes
Your death awaits
From her snare you’ll not escape!
