The Land Of Forgotten
11 April, 2006
Author: Catyrose
Tonight let’s travel to the land of forgotten
And long long ago
Listen closely and you shall hear
Hoof beats echoing in the distance
Scurrying across the emerald glen
In the land of way back then
Closer! Closer!
Here she comes
Arriving before dawn’s first light
Tossing her head with spiral horn
From side to side
Tresses the colour of the roses in bloom
A rainbow is her crown
Stars twinkling in her eyes
Illuminate the darkened room
Moon beams falling from the skies
As she draws nigh your side
Off you’ll go
On a magical ride
She appears to you sweet child
For you see with a heart so pure
What the eyes fail to perceive
The symbol of gentleness, love and strength
Now stands beside your bed
Offering you protection and care
Whispering in your ear
A promise only she can keep
Your friend, the unicorn
Vows to watch over you night after night
As you dream in peaceful sleep
