The Suns Own
16 April, 2006
Author: Catyrose
We planted tiny seeds today
Careful to space them exactly so
Ensuring they will grow
Sturdy and tall
Fibrous stalks of green
Shades of yellow and brown
Soon they will surround
This peaceful place
Encircled by nature’s splendor
Basking in the sunshine of her grace
A crown of gold displayed to all
Upon her stalk so green
Majestic yet serene
Mother Nature’s gentle kiss
Blowing upon the soft summer breeze
Designed to please
Offering comfort and peace to those within her midst
Providing a sense of earthly bliss
Gather in the garden
Step lightly as you go
Till you reach the last enticing row
Gaze up into the sky
As far as the eye can see
There she will tower
My favorite
The Sunflower
