In Dreams

Author: Catyrose
In the darkness of the night
Immersed in peaceful slumber
Unaware of the spell she is under
Spirits take her by the hand
Welcoming her into a secret land
Taking pleasure in each sight and sound
Scampering across the dewdrop ground
Moonbeams light the pitch black sky
Guiding footsteps in the starry night
Till the time they do take flight
Flashes so bright appear in the distance
She’ll count the seconds till the thunder roars
Upon these secluded, mysterious shores
Spirits voices begin to sing
Inviting her to come within
To dance
To spin
To twirl within
The land of fantasy and whim
