i try to hold you,
but you pull away,
you say your not happy,
and you dont want to stay,

you tell me were not working,
so has all this time been a waste?
you wont even look at me,
and your gone without a trace,

a deep depression takes me over,
and i live in our memories,
pretending your still with me,
maybe then my pain will ease,

i reach out for you,
and imagine you are here,
holding me,
while you whipe away my tears,

dreaming of you while im still awake,
pretending you could never leave,
that you still love and want me,
but i know you dont and that im only pretending to believe.
