Buy Me Love
3 May, 2006
Author: Ben Franklin
Born into a family
without much Love,
without much money
Mum would never allow me to call her
Mummy.
She would tell me regularly
that if I was not born we would be financially
better off,
but she was a bitter woman
so I never answered her back
as I knew it would violently set her
off.
Dad left when I was two,
role model planted his seed and just
flew.
I promised I would make it
and financially look after my bitter mother,
then maybe there would be no more cruel words
thrown at me to make me suffer.
I followed the bright lights
of London town
to pursue my dream of producing sound.
After Ten years of the daily grind
I finally found that place I was trying to
find.
I signed A deal
and got alot of money in adavance,
someone had seen my potential and took
a chance.
I went to visit Mum,
and told her I had bought her a new home,
she told me that for the past ten years
I had neglected her
and for me to leave her alone.
I was told the grass is greener
when you finally get green,
it can buy you things that you only thought
about in your wildest dreams,
I guess having money is not as important as
it seems.

Truth is the quality of my relationships with other people have always been the real "riches" in my life. U'll never know how much I needed to read these words rite about now. Thanks :) |
