Outside Looking In

Will I have friends again? She asked her reflection
She was writing in her journal, she couldn't find direction
"All the kids at school, they tease me everyday
I try to be a normal kid but that drains strength away
I can't help I'm shy, I wish to god I could
I have interest in Wicca though the kids don't think I should
Quoting from the Bible they shout and curse my name
I wish for just a moment they could all feel my pain
Would it really matter, would they stop and change their ways?
It's happened since I was a kid, I know it's not a phase
I truly love my mother, she has all my heart
But I have no future, I wouldn't know where to start"
She finally closed her journal, it slid beneath the bed
She looked in the mirror, then she hung her head
She kissed her reflection, this was her only voice
She tied a noose to her bed, too bad it was this choice
She thought for a moment, then let her feet slide out
As she dangled tightly, she let her air run out
Her lips were turning blue, as she passed away
No one could predict, the strength of her dismay
As her mom found out, it hit her like a train
She loved her eldest daughter, but she couldn't spare her pain
Several months have passed, but the picture's clearer
She left the world a symbol, her lipstick on the mirror
