Sun-kissed Moments
8 May, 2006
Author: Catyrose
Reclining under the pristine aspen tree
Gazing out at the vacant arroyo
Rain has not fallen in sometime now
The only moisture in her midst
Springs from the drops forming on her fair skin
As she bakes in nature’s oven
Kissed by the desert sun
She and the natural world
Join as one
The sweltering summer sun
Soothes her being
Lying alone but not lonely
Lost in the solitude of the moment
Thoughts fuse and flow
Calmness washes over her very soul
Feeling safe and secure in earth’s company
She rests lightly against the pale bark of this tree
Once again, alive and free
Living with nature’s gentle flow
Basking in the afternoon sun
Rejuvenated by mother nature’s own glow
As peace and tranquility
Restore the balance in her heart and soul
