Mommy

Author: Tammy
Mommy I've went to heaven,
but please don't cry.
I know you don't understand,
and I know you question why?
Mommy just please know
my pain has been set free.
No longer do I hurt,
and in Jesus you must believe.
Never stop loving our Savior,
because he took me home.
I am so happy Mommy
I am not scared or alone.
Heaven is so pretty
I play on cotton clouds.
The children dance around
while the angels sing outloud.
Heaven is fun Mommy
but you I do so miss.
So when the raindrops fall down
know that's me sending you a kiss.
I miss story time with you
and when you tucked me into bed.
I miss your smile Mommy
and the sweet things you said.
But know that I am with you
if only it be in dream.
Mommy I do love you
and someday you'll be with me.
So Mommy wipe your tears
and smile just once for me.
Know that I am happy
my pain has been set free.
------- Author's Notes -------
I didn't know what catogory this poem should of been under, but I wrote this poem thinking about the parents who have lost a child, my heart goes out to you, and your family. Love to you...who's heart is breaking for that sweet child. |
