My Moonlight Angel
15 December, 2003
Author: Del
There's an angel watching over you
Each and every night, my love.
She's called the Moonlight Angel
Sent from heaven up above
She keeps you very safe and sound,
Free from harm and strife.
Watches over you each night,
She knows you are my life.
She touches you with her magic wand,
Before you drift off to sleep.
She makes sure you'll dream a dream of me,
And the memory of which you'll keep.
Whenever I meet her in my dreams,
She assures me your love is true.
When she tucks you into bed tonight,
I'll ask her to talk to you.
To tell you in a dream tonight
How much I really care.
Whatever the future holds for me
For you I'll always be there.

What type of relationship is this poem giving to the subject? Is it mother to child? Or lover to lover? I kind of have the sense that its lover to lover, or at least thats how it sounds when I read it out loud! |
