One Stormy Day On An Irish Summer
22 May, 2006
Author: SweetVenom
Gale winds blowing at a high speed,
Pushing me forward with a huge thrust,
With gentle drizzle fearing to wet the earth,
The trees sway to an unheard 'Rock & Roll'.
With dark clouds flocking towards the North,
Strewn leaves and flowers fly around,
Birds rushing to their nests, chirping aloud,
To escape from the thunder that roars loud.
Dawn shy to remove her veil,
Dusk hesitating to cover the sky,
Mesmerized by this natural quandary,
A lost crow caws, frantically from a tree.
Rain blending with the wind,
Blows in a musical tantrum,
Rolling, rotating and changing sides,
As it is guided by the storm.
Waves leaping new heights,
Water filling the beaches,
And kiss the land they always loved,
While the wet earth throws an aphrodisiac in the air.
------- Author's Notes -------
This is what it was in Ireland a few days back. I liked this weather and it changes every day and sometimes even within a day :). When I did mention it to few of my colleagues, they were amazed and even called it peculiar to like this weather. Hailing from the sub-continent, where the sun shines all 365 days and sets near to 6PM, I really enjoy this change. |
