When I Was 8 Or 9
28 May, 2006
Author: Shiloh
I remember when I was 8 or 9,
or maybe even younger...
I thought I couldn't wait to grow up.
I wanted to be grown up then, not later.
I thought that would take care of all my troubles.
I thought that if I were grown up,
then I wouldn't be yelled at any more,
or picked on,
and that I could do whatever I wanted.
I didn't know that one day,
when I would be all grown up,
that I would look back in my memories
and long for the days when I was 8 or 9,
or maybe even younger...
