Whispersong

Young lovers listened
in the night,
So to hear
the song of flight.
The voice a whisper,
so it seemed,
Then they slept,
of wings to dream.
Of wings that whispered
of the bond between
Two sleeping lovers
in a flying dream.
From dark of night,
till rising sun,
In song of flight
they soared as one.
------- Author's Notes -------
This is about a shared fantasy of two very innocent, young lovers whose desire to be closer together is frustrated until one night, while listening to a song named "Nightingale", they fall asleep together. They both dream the same dream in which their romantic fantasy is answered. |
