Caught In The Rain
9 June, 2006
Author: Newage Caveman
As the north winds blew across the tall trees
Coconuts aplenty fell on the ground
Thunder and lightning made me run for cover
I turned back to realize that no one was around
I sprinted along the clogged pathway
I scurried with all my might
Stood a hut far away from a distance
But, the rain had blocked my sight
After the downpour finally ceded
I ran towards the lonely hut
I opened the latch to my surprise
And fell inside with a thud
I saw a wolf outside the window
Waiting for its prey with eyes in fervor
I lit up the candle to see a person standing
It was me in front of the mirror
Tired and bemused that rainy night
I fainted and fell on the muddy floor
My body was longing for rest and slumber
I closed my eyes and began to snore
I woke up in the hospital the next day
To see a plaster around my swollen head
My body was aching with pain and repugnance
I heard that someone had shot the wolf dead
As the north winds blew across the tall trees
Coconuts aplenty fell on the ground
Thunder and lightning made me run for cover
I turned back to realize that no one was around…
