Brown Eyes
20 June, 2006
Author: Taylor James
fooled again by big brown eyes
committed myself and bought his lies,
thinking he may have been the one who actually loved me this time.
what a fool i am to have made myself blind
to the intense cruelty that lay inside.
it happened once before ill cope again
i guess he’s just another lousy boyfriend.
you think you get over it,
but pain never really goes away
it festered inside me, until today.
he was nice at first
that’s how i got sucked in
until he unleashed the beatings that killed within.
big brown eyes, how can they lie?
they look so pure and innocent
until you see to far inside,
when you realise who they truly are
it’s too late to escape from the metal cage you hide behind.
too scared of living with the man
who beats and hates me
but to scared of living without him
encase he finds me.
------- Author's Notes -------
