Lifetime Of Surroundings
25 June, 2006
Author: Randi Jung
lit only by neon
the glow of red, yellow, blue, green
color my atmosphere
color this world
so dark
through all the smoke
through all the lost eyes
through all the confusion
everyone here united
yet still divided, guarded
hidden in bottles
and I
become only a pawn
a server of escape
a server of fiction
in this game
of ongoing reality
trying to hear
over the loud crashing
of so many breaking
souls

MC (152.163.100.5) -- Wednesday, June 28 2006, 08:25 pm Bartender, right? Stupendous write. It's interesting to observe people in bars. It's surreal, isn't it? My older daughter works in a bar, and she really knows how to play the game. Enjoyed this very much. |
