Unbreakable
3 July, 2006
Author: Luke Christopher
Life says:
Beaten. Battered.
Why do you keep fighting?
You’ve been knocked down so many times.
Why do you keep getting up?
If you lose enough times, you know what that makes you?
A loser.
I have physically beaten you.
Mentally destroyed you.
Just stay down!
You’ve lost.
I say:
You can bruise my body,
But not my soul.
You can break my heart,
But not my will.
You can weaken my present,
But not my future.
You can knock me down,
But I will continue to get up.
Take your best shot.
Knock me out!
You can’t.
You’ve failed.
I will ALWAYS fight back.
I will always press the attack.
I stand before you.
Unmoving.
You cannot pierce my armor.
It’s the armor of Truth.
I stand before you.
Unafraid.
You cannot beat me,
There is no quit in me.
I stand before you.
Unaffected.
YOU have lost.
You cannot win.
I stand before you.
UNBREAKABLE.
------- Author's Notes -------
Recently I have lost a lot. A fiance... A child... But none of that will break me. You have 2 choices in life... Go down and stay down, or get up and continue fighting. No one has ever won a fight staying down. KEEP FIGHTING! |
