Eyre Square- A Cultural Re-union

Green grass, healthy trees, sandy paths,
A center stage with the sails,
Fountains spilling water, the window used to give 'justice',
Wood carved chairs for the traveler,
To rest, enjoy and feel,
The nature’s love, jugglers’ balance,
An orchestral performance,
Cam-clicking tourists,
Drunken rambles of an old man,
Cuddling lovers, fighting friends,
Kissing couples, grousing doves,
What more does one need at the City’s center?

The city center mall buzzing with shoppers,
While the silent 'Hibernian' glares,
Taxi drivers towing at one end,
Newcomers entering the park through the other,
City Tour buses circling the square,
The pubs hesitating to open up early,
Sitting on one of the benches, one could rejoice,
And record, a calm life, away from the rush,
Aloof from the end to end honking traffic,
Space less shop-street, filled-up pubs,
Crowded dance floors and nightclubs,
So close to these but still so different from them,
A social gathering, Eyre Square is sure the birthplace,
for the revival of the Old Irish culture.

------- Author's Notes -------

Eyre Square is a park in the center of Galway,Ireland. It has been recently renovated with a huge cost. Apart from any other park, Eyre Square has a sail-fountain and also front portion of a house called Lynch's window which have a historical significance.I don't want to explain in detail as I may miss out or mess with information. :). Altogether, a good place to spend your evening.
