Song Of Tragedy
27 July, 2006

vinebar

final strikes of the piano key
lost seranade for her lover gone
absent among the tragedies
this tale ends not among the songs

the silhouette smile fell upon her
but the but the visage disappeared into lies
an obscure affirmation of forever
lost beyond a wall of caliginosity

the hamadryads sang among the trees
the naiads dancing within the streams
and she among them; watching with affectionate smiles
the festivities going on for miles

a mistress hooked upon the lovers waist
a look of lust on both their face
as they fall into the chapel door
unsuspected of her lover forever more

and upon this rainy night
the ring of the paino cold and blight
even as the poison takes its course
she falls to the keys in failed discourse

and as the dryads sing their song
the mistress and lover begin to suffer
the mischief of nymph's revenge
