Short Love, Long Thoughts

Should I say ‘I love you’?
I won’t be with you for long,
The deadline is drawn,
But does love end by striking a gong?

I can hold you, kiss you and tear you,
Scathe your skin with my sharp nails,
Take you through those screaming spasms,
But still, I cannot be with you for long.

Exploring the non-ventured freedoms,
Inflicting pains, taking in pleasure,
While your long hairs covered my face,
I just want to leave you without any trace.

Questions do crop up to your tiny head,
Why do I need to go alone and why not together?
In a strange country, we had a strange relation,
With no ties to the land, can we expect a liaison?

Gearing to know each other fast, we spent ‘time’,
It is immeasurably insane to call it short,
It covers your cries, joys, hate, love, kiss and pricks,
Worth a lifetime to pass thinking of the jaunty love.

------- Author's Notes -------

There are at times we end up with some unknown relationships without commitments. Even if they do, there may not have an end by break-ups but by distance or lack of contacts. The thoughts still do live in the mind of the individuals. Just thought of how such a relationship would be in a distant land where both of them do not have ties. :) This is purely my imagination. Planning to look for one :)
