I Want Me.

Stop trying to fix me
I don’t feel all that broken
And if I was
I could fix myself
Don’t give me your help
Unless I ask for it
You’re a nosy, bossy know-it-all
And you think you know what’s best
For everyone
But you don’t
You don’t know what I yearn for
What I need
Not even close
You don’t even try to understand
You’re too busy being so goddamn perfect
Must be nice
But if I was perfect
You would hate me
Because then you’d have nothing to
Ridicule me for
And that’s your favorite thing to do
You’re sadistic
But you don’t try to be
You don’t even know you are
You don’t know half the pain you cause
But its all because you’re trying to love me
But you squeezing too tight
I can’t breathe anymore
I’ve tried to tell you
But you don’t care
You won’t relinquish control
I’m fighting a losing battle
And I want to scream
I want to hurt somebody
I want to hurt you
I want to hurt me
I want to break me
I want to tear me apart
Because you couldn’t stop it
I’d be in complete control
Every sliver of my self
That I destroy
I’d be proud of
Because I’d know that
I did it.
Not you.
Me.
