As I Let Go
11 August, 2006
Author: Scorpio
Falling farther from grace
But not worth holding onto
Is it malice or merriment?
I don't want it to be you
To just leave it all behind
To say goodbye to it all
To break it all and lose it
To let go and finally fall
Nothing's holding us back anymore
So why am I walking out the door?
You say you've never whispered a single lie
So why then, am I saying goodbye?
------- Author's Notes -------
I -was- in love with a guy who could have made me the happiest person in the world. I -was- in love with a guy who could've easily had somethin' real rather than all the lies other women give him. I -was- in love with the -man- he used to be, but he's no man anymore. He just wants it all for free, what he has to earn- he doesn't want. So now, I'm finally sayin' goodbye to my hopes and dreams of bein' with him. |
