Loneliness
15 August, 2006
Author: Sandra Lee
Some call it mid-life crisis,
Some say empty nest.
I call it the height of loneliness,
Let's put it to the test.
My kids are grown and gone you see,
Their mother they don't need.
My husband's working late again,
I just turned forty-three.
I turn on my computer,
And click on AOL.
I find a room to chat in
And flirt there with the men.
Some come here from Chicago,
Some come from Alabam.
I'm here from New Mexico,
My heart is in my hand.
We all have things in common,
Our loneliness we share.
Come listen to my story,
And love me if you dare.
