Pick-up Line
20 August, 2006
Author: Mark Spencer
How do I love thee?
No, that’s too cliché.
Your eyes are like pools…
Nope! That just sounds gay.
Baby I wanna…
Oh, that could get lewd.
What a nice pair of…
Damn! That sounded crude!
You want romantic,
But that isn’t me!
I’m not good with words,
Though I’d like to be.
I think fluffy thoughts,
To knock off your sox.
But each time I speak,
The fluff turns to rocks.
I’m just not Don Juan,
I’m more like Don Knotts.
I love you, to me,
Feels more like the hots.
Can you understand
What I have to say?
And cut me some slack,
If just for today.
I really do care,
This isn’t a game.
By morning I’ll still
Remember your name.
It’s more than just sex
So let down your guard.
If that weren’t true
Would I try this hard?
Nothing’s forever,
We don’t have to fight.
I’ll always love you…
At least for tonight.
