I Don't Care

Author: Nathan Ortberg
When I woke today you crossed through my mindnBut to my astoundment it wasnt you I wanted to findnNow Ive found me and you aren't in that picturenThats something I would've never figurednBut its like rehab from the drug I neednFirst I was shaking and brought to my kneesnBut your influence is gone nownAnd I feel better somehownAnd though my heart still loves younMy soul wont have younI stand on my own a cool breeze in my facenAnd the whole world seems to move at a conceivable pacenI take a deep breath of the crisp night airnI look beside me and you are not therenBut this time...nI don't care
