Take Hold Of The Reigns Darlin
4 September, 2006

Take hold of the reigns darlin,
Keep them tight in hand,
Gather your dreams, place them under your feet,
And grant me one last dance.
Let's pretend were lost darlin,
Cradle me with your eye's,
Hide me away, in the blanket you made,
Under the falling sky.
Tell me love is gone darlin,
Tell me the morning came,
Cover my hands, with your wicked plans,
And tell them I'm to blame.
Take the light and hide it darlin,
Hide it beneath the ground,
I swear i'll chase, the howling dogs away,
If you'll hold me when the sun goes down.
Take my love away darlin,
But don't you wait to long,
Steel any chance, I ever had to laugh,
Then sing me a broken song.
Kiss me one last time darlin,
So I can't feel the pain,
Pull me close, say goodbye to my ghost,
And hold me like you hold the reigns.

Meridian (64.12.116.5) -- Saturday, September 9 2006, 04:16 pm Unlike the last poem I misinterpreted, hopefully I depict what's happening here. Let's see...this is about a knight in the form of a poltergeist talking to a woman while riding on a horse throughout the night... Unless her dream became reality :) Your imagery is off the hook! Lovin' it! |
