Ode To Grandpa
8 September, 2006
Author: Newage Caveman
As I walked along the sandy beach
With the seething waves surrounding the shore
I am reminded of this man from yesterday
Those were the times of yore
He was a man who taught me prayer
He was a man of steely will
As I stood on the submerged sand in ponder
I felt his presence within
You have left your footprints on the sands of time
But mine are getting washed away by the waves
The memories are fresh in this heart of whine
Weren’t those the wonderful days?
Waves in unison seem to give me courage
You live amongst the winds that whisper
I can see your visage in the vast emptiness
It never seems to disappear…
