I Know
14 September, 2006
Author: Christian V
I see what’s to be seen
What you cannot see
And what others will never see.
I know knowledge of many.
When the rest of the world lies in its despair of self-interest.
Nestled in the beds of doubts and half truths,
Walking down the streets in a carefree motion.
Society takes another day in hell.
How can the world walk in such blindness?
At what moment did everyone lose sight of the path?
A simple design of systematic equations,
Equations that all have seized to complete.
One day gone.
Two days gone.
Three days into a fortnight on going.
Is there no light at the end of the tunnel?
Do I lie to be the only to see?
Take my hand, heed my words
For we all walk like sheep to the slaughter.
Only to lead future generations to the same fate.
Those before us lived in connection
While we crumble beneath ourselves.
Hope is a fading option.
Let us stand together once more,
Let us rebuild our paths,
Our system of systematic equations.
Let us walk as giants
To create for those that walk after us.
For I see what’s to be seen.
And what others chose not to see.

Tarna (75.17.200.64) -- Friday, September 15 2006, 01:13 am Sometimes it seems life is too busy to actually stop and look around at what it happening. Too busy to be able to do anything about the world we live in. The chase of the almighty cash makes us too blind to see or too tired to care. great write.. I like poems that make a statement and make one pause to think.. |
