An Angel's Kiss
16 September, 2006
Author: Catyrose
An angel landed near my front door
I heard the rustle of his wings
Opening the latch I asked him in
His smile so bright lit up the darkened room
I asked if he’d enjoy a cup of tea
Of course, he said and smiled at me
My thoughts, I must admit were not quite clear
Yet never did I feel a trace of fear
Stumbling into the kitchen I put the kettle on
I heard him humming to himself
A catchy little tune I cannot place
It brought a smile to my face
Returning with cup in hand
I offered it to him
And asked him his plan
He drank in silence
Not a word did he speak
All at once he rose to his feet and placed the softest kiss upon my cheek
Just as I wondered what would happen next
He walked to the door
Admist my protest
With a smile and a tear in his eye
He raised his wings and gestured good-bye
Leaving me alone to wonder why

Just an account of a dream I have had several times recently. |
