This Is On Me.
20 September, 2006
Author: Bipedalguy
In life I was frugal.
Some called me cheap.
Because when the bill came,
I’d sit there and weep.
In death, I’m more giving,
as the whole world can see.
It's engraved on my headstone,
“This is on me”

Bipedalguy (4.156.51.252) -- Thursday, November 2 2006, 02:48 pm It looks like the guy in the poem came up with a good way to have the last word, and to still look generous. He also saved money on the engraving. (Only 10 letters) |

Terrie* (66.81.130.65) -- Thursday, January 4 2007, 12:54 am your poetry cain become addictive, soooo much better than a tranquilizer, tastier than ice cream , lets just say , doc has me on rehab, even though laughter kills my back ,i must confess ,love your super sense of humor, a good pain relief..keep that poetry comin'...ya don't want my body to go into shock do ya? lol... |
Bipedalguy (4.156.27.140) -- Thursday, January 4 2007, 01:58 am Your comments are very encouraging, because humor (and simplicity) are just what I usually am trying to get into my writes. I have to admit that when something really strikes me funny, like on T.V., I have sometimes had to leave the room for fear that my laughter will overcome me. (to the point of injury) |
Terrie* (66.81.129.176) -- Thursday, January 4 2007, 02:47 am i know what you mean, about laughter.i laugh until i'm in tears.thanx for the sweet laughter |
