Her Warm Embrace
22 September, 2006
Author: Rick Ryckman
Gazing into the silent garden of night.
I can feel the scarlet memories of flickering embers.
I can hear her voice whisper across the sands of time.
Wrapped in the stars that illuminate her silhouette.
The rhythm of her wings flutter it's pleading.
Carrying me in her caresses of wonderment.
Her murmurs slowly rising singing its rapture.
I am vaulted into her rhapsody.
Precious tears are falling from her eyes.
Taking me to thresholds unseen before.
In her embrace feeling the magical waltz of tranquility.

Princess Moon (204.56.135.1) -- Saturday, September 23 2006, 06:23 pm I loved every one of these poems, Rick. They take me to a sort of hungering passion that I think is elegantly portrayed in these poems. I see LOVE(big time), romance, beautiful detail, and charming lines of imagery like "The velvet canopy opens its wide tapestry." and "Embracing timeless memories treasured for everlasting dreams."....Beautiful, simply beautiful! Keep writing, I'll keep reading. |
