Whispers From The Grave
4 October, 2006
Author: Newage Caveman
You will hear my name in whispers
When the wedding bell rings
As you walk down the aisle,
Thou shall hear me sing.
Your search for my presence
Will end in sadness and despair
My soul shall haunt you in silence
Leaving its shadows everywhere.
You had left me in distress
Life was gloomy without a clue
If it weren’t for your betrayal,
Things would have lost their meaning too.
I have wallowed in sorrow,
I have lost all my pride
Loving you for reasons more than one,
Has left me with tears that have dried
Time has healed the pain
Time has sent me to the dead
Trying to walk away from this lain,
Might leave you in a rut instead
Thy shall stay awake in my grave
Until the day you come to see
‘This soul will always rest in peace
Under the mighty banyan tree.
