In The Dark
5 October, 2006
Author: Rick Ryckman
The midnight hour strikes its toll.
Into the long and dangerous dark I am embraced.
I can hear the whispering shadows of night.
My sorrows echo off the wall of agony.
Winding in a circle the demons dance.
Twisting and turning in my tumultuous voyage.
There is no escape from the feelings of pure fear.
I have seen through the frozen nightmares of time.
Where are the memories of innocent times?
