In-between Strokes
5 October, 2006
Author: Rick Ryckman
Looking into the mirror.
The shadows come and plunge me into the darkness.
Where is the escape from my fears?
My sorrows bleed their mournful cries.
My mind falters into despair.
The hourglass consumes with its cold steel cage.
The barbaric demons are at the gate.
The reaper dances on the pendulum of time.
Its rhythm rattles my heartbeat for eternity.
