The Travels Of The Leaf
8 October, 2006
Author: Pondering Red
1.
the leaf -
it flys - it swoops
with the winds -
it falls -
it rises and floats
and turns circles and glides.
much like we do in a day -
in our travels through life.
2.
the essence of autumn -
the fine wine of the season -
crimson leaves rule
the city.
3.
radiant
even under a dull grey sky.
makes me feel
more radiant
and even more.
faded yellow,
blowing in the wind,
the leaves
give me pleasure -
i have to zoom in on them -
to blur out the city concrete
passers by -
the cars - the thrown away papers -
radiant it is -
hidden away -
i will be back.
4.
crimson mountain of leaves -
pouring colours
into the fall air.
take me away -
take me on a
temporary holiday -
just around the corner - just around the bend,
i come to see the only red tree
- my friend -
5.
underwatersky today -
sea blue - leaves like colourful
sea foliage.
i am swimming in autumn leaves -
large transluscent -
i see through them
to beyond
horizons of forests
of gold.
transfixed - mesmorized -
i caress the branches.
