Little Things
14 October, 2006
Author: Barbara Goodhew
Things like knowing the things we like.
Remembering our birthday we like.
These actions may seem trite.
To me it gives me some insight.
Doing little things for people.
Makes little things feel like HUGE THINGS.
------- Author's Notes -------
Last night my friend and her husband came over with a Birthday card and some homemade brownies for my birthday. They kept apologizing for not getting me areal expensive gift. Like I told her just her rembering my birthday and that I love chocolate was priceless to me. |

Capricorn (82.36.228.32) -- Saturday, October 21 2006, 04:19 pm Little things can mean so much more than real expensive ones, as often more thought has been put into it. |
barb (67.58.206.125) -- Saturday, October 21 2006, 05:05 pm The gifts that come from thinking and the heart, are the expensive gifts. |
Bipedalguy (4.156.129.166) -- Friday, November 17 2006, 02:53 am Your poem, as always, is so true. Brownies can be better than more expensive gifts. Once I broke my leg, and a neighbor, who happened to be a beautiful girl, brought me some brownies. A new Porsche couldn't have made me happier. Great write. |
