Sailor’s Creed
17 October, 2006
Author: Mark Spencer
Oh Lord you are my harbor,
My shelter in a gale.
My sublime navigator,
Wherever I may sail.
And though the sea is mighty,
And I am but a speck,
I shall not fear the journey,
While You stand on this deck.
And whether my voyage ends,
In port, or briny deep,
I shall not regret the course,
Which You have helped me keep.
For at every journey’s end,
Another will begin.
I await the occasion,
To sail with You again.
Amen.
