In The Night
25 October, 2006
Author: Rick Ryckman
Entranced and frightened by hungry hours.
My surroundings are haunted rivers that run.
My dreams are black and have no luster.
Stranded under this mark of doom.
Rummaging through the avalanche.
Eerie movements are traveling in the darkness.
Each corridor runs with the Black Dogs of Hell.
Veering toward the frenzy to survive.
Where is the hero in my bleak light?
Grappling with my anguish that prevails.
