Tall Girl With A Gimpy Dog by Angel Laney

I'm a tall girl
with a little gimpy dog
We rule our own world
In this town of fog
If you ask us to come and play
"What took so long?" we would say
Lovin' life with laughter and pride
We take each day with a calm cool stride
People say, "Well, what a sight!"
"That tall blonde girl with a limping dog by her side"
They smile and wave where ever we go
The children they stop, to say "Hello!"

I Love this poem more with each reading of it, and I have read it many times!In very few words you have painted a picture, expressed emotion, and told a story with truth. And, even more, you did it with humor! You have revealed yourself AND your little gimpy dog with your own poetic style. You have shared your own world.
