Lover's Lane
31 October, 2006
Author: Capricorn
I walk our path through Rowan Trees,
my mind awhirl with memories.
Love grew when springtime rosebuds turned
to summer blooms. Our passions burned
as romance echoed symphonies
in synchronizing melodies.
Then autumn blew a cooling breeze
which slowed our pace, yet we returned
to walk our path.
As winter came with frigid freeze,
you played discordant harmonies
and inexplicably you spurned
the rhythm of our love; I yearn
to hear your rhapsody’s reprise
and walk our path.
