Ladies In Waiting
2 November, 2006
Author: Rick Ryckman
From out of the misty night ---- Lucifer comes riding his long black steed.
As the black express rolls to a stop.
Where are the maidens who will sacrifice themselves?
Kneeling at or lying upon their altars.
Uneasiness falls in silent sweet dreams.
Of gleaming hands and a guillotine that hangs like an ornament
wrapped within rose thorns.
From a distant echo ---- a voice resounds!
'' I can smell your essence, '' blooming from your erotic flower ---- musty and sweet.
You have gathered here for the feast in your starvation.
Waiting on the edge ---- for the moment of penetration.
The sword plunges and strafes the walls of its warm dark dungeon.
In trembling rhymes ---- will you rock in the rhythm of your struggle?
Twisting and turning not knowing how far the distance!
The wailing moans echo ---- leaving behind its gold dust trail.
As the crimson flows, staining the blessed white virginal gowns.
