A year has now passed
And I still don't know why
Everytime I think of you
I have to fight not to cry.
I thought it would be easy
With you no longer here
To forget and move on
Taking far less than a year.
I took the snap shots and memories
Placed them way away
Just to be reminded of you
More each and every day,
Will I ever get a break
A day of my own
Or will I live my life
Heart broken, depressed, alone.
I don't want to hear that song again
Blasting it to sing along
Just for it to take me back
Cuz in my life you don't belong.

I've always enjoyed your work. This poem really speaks to me, as I can relate to it, so well. Why is it so hard to let go of someone, especially when you KNOW they are all wrong for you? Good luck, honey. Great poem.
