My Wooden Heart
1 January, 1970
Author: Del
I wish my heart was made of wood
So no one could break it in two.
I'm such a fool when it comes to love.
Now I'm being a fool for you.
When things go astray, I wonder,
Am I being too easy going?
Maybe I should hide my feelings
And keep my heart from showing.
For me that's just too hard to do,
My heart has a mind of its own.
True feelings stem right from the heart
So I have to make my feelings known.
I'm so much in love with you, my dear,
You make me feel so good.
I have a heart that belongs to you,
But it's not made of wood
